'Gilbert I have to leave.'
'But Birdie you can't leave me!'
Matthew rolled his eyes at the albino that was currently sprawled over him. He had sat down on the couch to put on his shoes and before he knew it the man was laying in his lap. Luckily for Gilbert Matthew always got ready early and preferred having ample time to leave.
'You don't want me to be late for work do you?' he asked toying with the feathery locks. Gilbert turned on his side, pressing his face into Matthew's shirt mumbling. 'What was that?'
'If you didn't have to go to work then I could spend all day with you,' Gilbert said again. He closed his eyes at the gentle feeling of the long fingers softly running through his hair. It amazed him at how Matthew put up with him. Had he done this to anyone else they would have sent him tumbling to the ground. Matthew on the other hand was soft and gentle, relying instead in persuasion and not violence. It made the man fall even more in love with him every day.
'Yes but if I never went to work then I wouldn't be able to feed all of your hungry mouths,' Matthew replied referring to their animals.
'We would manage,' Gilbert said sitting up and stealing a quick kiss. Matthew rolled his eyes again and stood before he was captured again. Gilbert fell back on the couch. 'No Birdie!'
'Come on lazy ass. If you don't get up then I'll leave without giving you a goodbye kiss. I swear you're almost as bad as Kuma sometimes,' Matthew told the other. Gilbert moved his arm which had been covering his eyes to stare at his lover.
'Did you just compare me to Kumacockblock?' he asked, a slight annoyance creeping into his voice.
'Yes I did,' was all Matthew said before walking away to find his coat. He heard a groan from the couch as Gilbert sat up to follow the Canadian. Matthew found his jacket and slipped it on only to be trapped once again. 'Gil, I need to leave.'
'I know you do Birdie but you can't leave without giving some love first,' Gilbert said as he rested his chin on the other's shoulder, tightening his arms, preventing his escape.
'I'm not sure that you deserve it,' Matthew replied turning around. 'I know. As punishment for keeping me you don't get a kiss.'
Gilbert's face was indescribably priceless. 'No kiss? But your kisses are what get me through the day! I can't survive without them!'
'You did just fine before you met me.'
'Birdie, before I met you I was nothing. I barely made it through an hour, let alone a day.'
Matthew smiled softly as he wrapped the other in a hug and kissed his forehead. 'Maybe I'll think about it if you let me go.' Gilbert paused before pecking him on the cheek and releasing the blond. 'Merci Pooh Bear.'
Gilbert watched as Matthew picked up his last few things; wallet, keys, phone. He couldn't help but to smile as Matthew picked up Paix and Krieger, holding the two small animals close. Matthew giggled as the small white puppy covered his face in kisses and kitten batted around his fly-away curl. 'I'm not sure whether I should be jealous or if I should take a picture to remember this image,' he chuckled leaning against the door frame.
Matthew smiled and Gilbert's heart melted. He was head over heels and he didn't care one bit. Matthew put the animals down and said, 'Well, I think I love you more so you can share just a bit.' He opened the door looking back at the Prussian. Gilbert smiled and trailed his fiancé outside.
'But your love is so special. You can't blame me if I want it all to myself.' Gilbert watched as Matthew climbed in the driver's side of their bright red Mitsubishi.
'So greedy,' Matthew laughed as he started the car, rolling down the window allowing Gilbert to lean in.
'I know, I'm selfish,' he replied, leaning even closer to the blond.
'I don't mind.' Matthew closed the small gap between them, sweetly kissing Gilbert's lips. The kiss was short but filled with so much love that both pulled back with a soft smile. 'I love you.'
'I love you too Birdie. Have a great day and come home soon.' Gilbert stood up looking down at his beautiful fiancé.
'See you soon,' Matthew replied with a smile, turning the car to start off.
'Mein Gott,' Gilbert sighed running a hand through silver locks, watching the red car pull out and disappear down the lane. 'So this is what it's like to be in love? I think I could get used to this feeling.'
Which one is Bear and which is Birdie? Is that a stupid question?
